Epson India Launches Max Economy Office Series Printers

Epson, a world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions, announced the launch of its “Max Economy” Office series printers – the Epson ME Office 620F, 900WD and 960FWD all-in-one printers which offer up to 50% lower running costs than colour laser printers(1).

The Epson ME Office Series offers high-end features such as WIFI/Ethernet connectivity, built-in duplex printing and high capacity front loading paper trays customized for mid to high print volume users (with estimated monthly print volume of 200 – 500 pages).

The Epson ME Office 900WD and 960FWD offer up to 50% lower (1) cost per page compared to colour laser printers by allowing users to choose the extra high capacity ME143 inks that offer an extremely low cost per page (2) of 0.75 paise for monochrome printing.

High performance Epson Micro Piezo™ print head with Variable-Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) – The Epson Micro Piezo™ print head found in all Epson inkjet printers achieves a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi and the VSDT (Variable Sized Droplet Technology) allows the print head to eject ink droplets in three sizes. These capabilities ensure the greatest detail and extremely smooth gradations in corporate documents that typically comprise text and images.

Quality prints by Epson DURABrite™ Ultra pigment ink – Perfect for everyday colour printing on plain paper, Epson DURABrite™ Ultra pigment ink is a pigment-based ink that is comprised of insoluble resin-coated pigment particles. Unlike conventional dye-based inks, Epson DURABrite™ ink pigment particles rest near the surface of conventional paper and are not absorbed into the fibers. As a result, DURABrite™ Ultra pigment inks have a smaller spot size than dye-based inks and text prints appear sharper. The inks also have a quick-drying formula which makes it ideal for double-sided printing, thereby enabling users to reduce cost. Epson DURABrite™ Ultra pigment ink has been engineered to withstand smudge, water and offers industry-leading light fastness on plain, matte, and glossy papers; giving prints the ability to last up to 120 years (3).

Epson INKdividual™ Cartridges with Low Cost Per Page – With Epson’s INKdividual™ cartridges, users can choose to only replace inks that have run out instead of the full set of inks. This reduces ink wastage and helps users to maximize cost savings. The Epson ME Office series printers use the new Epson 141 ink cartridges that achieve incredibly low cost per page (2) of only Rs. 1.60 for black ink prints and Rs. 3.00 for colour inks based on ISO 24711/24712 test specifications.

The ME143 ink cartridges are ideal for cost conscious business users with high monthly print volumes.

Network Connectivity – Both the Epson ME Office 900WD and 960FWD support network printing, allowing multiple users to share a single printer via local area networks (LAN), thereby saving on initial set-up costs for businesses. Built-in Duplex Printing Function – Both the Epson ME Office 900WD and 960FWD are equipped with built-in duplex printing function which allow users to easily print on both sides of the paper, without having to manually flip the pages. In accordance with ISO 24711/24712, actual yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink colour. A variable amount of ink remains in the cartridges after the “replace cartridge” signal. Part of the ink from the first cartridges is used for priming the printer. Ink is used for both printing and print head maintenance. All inks are used for both black and colour printing.

4. Maximum pages per minute (PPM) are measured after first page with text patterns in draft mode on plain paper.
