Carrier Presents Energy Efficient Durakool Star Hi-Wall Air-Conditioners

Carrier Corp. recently launched Durakool Star, a new range of hi-wall split air conditioners with high efficiency as the key feature. This range is available in 1.0TR and 1.5TR, which are 5-star rated, and 2.0 TR, which is 4-Star rated as per the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) energy labeling scheme. Carrier Corp., a world leader in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

In addition to being highly efficient, which is good for the environment, Durakool Star  units offer several additional features which enhance comfort and ease-of-use.

The Economic Running Mode adjusts the temperature gradually depending on the body temperature of room occupants, providing a comfortable environment. The Advanced Washable Filters make the air inside a room dust and odour free. The unit purifies the air by eliminating ammonia and other harmful gases. Electrostatic fibre filters trap dust particles, smoke and fur. The Advance Dry Mode eliminates air moisture, resulting in a room that is dry and fresh at just the touch of a button, making the Durakool Star the right choice for hot humid seasons.

The Turbo Mode ensures the Durakool Star unit operates to its full capacity, leading to quick cooling, while the Robust Rotary Compressor is designed to operate even under extreme climatic conditions. This state of the art compressor is designed to cool rooms even at a 50 degree centigrade ambient temperature.

The unique energy saver option reduces electricity bills by switching off the fan motor whenever the compressor is cut off by the thermostat. The Durakool Star also memorizes the

settings so that it automatically restarts with the owner’s settings when the power supply is interrupted and then restored.
