BIGADDA.com Announces the first ever Fitness Reality Show on the Internet

New Delhi, 23 March, 2010: BIGADDA.com, the youth networking platform from Reliance BIG Entertainment through its platform of select, participate and share has successfully merged with the reality show phenomenon on the web. After its successful initiative “India Bike Rally”, BIGADDA.com has now launched Get Fit India, the first ever fitness reality show on the internet.

Get Fit India is an 8 week reality show on Bigadda.com where auditions will be held across select Gold’s Gym outlets in 5 cities, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Mohali. Interested participants need to log on and register on the microsite www.gfi.bigadda.com . While BIGADDA is the presenting sponsor of Get Fit India, Revital and Equal are the main sponsors and co-sponsors respectively.

The entries will need to be supported with photos and videos uploaded on the microsite with details why they want to be a part of Get Fit India. Post the entries, there will be auditions held in each of these cities, where the jury members will select 30 participants basis criteria like good mix of health, weight and wellness quotient.

The participants will blog their experiences every single day and also upload videos and photos on the microsite. This will showcase the journey of every participant all through the eight week period on their way to attain their dream fitness goals. The eight week program will cover all important aspects of cardio workouts, weight training, exercise, nutrition and wellness. Millions of users will have access to the day to day experiences of these participants and help them vote their favorite one as and when they would like to anytime they wish.

Munira Jawadwala Kawad and Huzefa Lokhandwala are the experts on the jury for Get Fit India. Munira is among the few sports nutritionists in India who has counseled cricketers (under 9), tennis players, and state level swimmers. With over 7 years of experience in the fitness industry, Huzefa Lokhandwala has trained the who’s who from the corporate world across sectors.

The top 5 most voted participants will reach the final and battle it out to win the Get Fit India Champion. The grand prize is a one year membership of Gold’s Gym along with Revital supply for one year and attractive cash prizes. The first runner-up will get six months membership of Gold’s Gym along with Revital supply for one year. The second runner-up will get a three month membership of Gold’s Gym along with Revital supply for one year.
